About Us

Take a refreshing swim or get a cardiovascular workout in the Aquatic Center, located behind the Physical Education building. During various times throughout the year, we offer swim lessons and alternative programs. All CSU San Bernardino students, staff, faculty, and alumni are welcome to use the pool. Please bring your Coyote One Card to enter.

Eligibility

  • Open Swim - All CSU San Bernardino students, staff, faculty, affiliates and alumni assosiation members are welcome to use the pool. We also allow family members (including youth) of SRFC members to us the pool year round on Saturdays. CSUSB students and SRFC members can use the pool at no charge. Others can purchase a day, quarter or family pass at the Student Recreation and Fitness Center. Children under 2 are free.
  • Youth Lessons - Open to all youth. We offer group lessons in the summer and private lesson year round.
  • Adult Lessons - Open to year round
  • Lifeguard Training - Open to anyone over 15.

Year Round Family Swim

Family members, including youth of SRFC members are able to use the CSUSB Pool year round on Saturdays. Children under 12 years of age MUST be supervised on the deck or in the pool by an adult.

  • $2 per person per day
  • $20 quarter family pass*
  • *Family pass is for up to 4 family members and $5 for each additional person.

CSUSB faculty, staff and alumni (non-SRFC members)

WSI

The purpose of this course is to train instructor candidates to teach courses in the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program. The course will prepare candidates to successfully teach various levels of swim lessons and water safety presentations. Candidates must be at least 16 years old to enter the course. Through video and hands-on skill building, the course features clearly described and applied teaching strategies, including explanation-demonstration-practice, task setting, station teaching and guided discovery. Successful completion of the course will result in an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification.
