Tuolumne Meadows is a gentle, dome-studded meadow section of the Tuolumne River, in the North-Eastern section of Yosemite National Park. Lying at 8,600 feet, Tuolumne Meadows is the gateway to Yosemite’s High Sierra, a stunning wilderness of flowery meadows and oceans of sparkling granite. Hiking trails radiate out from the Tuolumne Meadows in all directions, offering hikers access to Yosemite’s alpine wonderland.

Itinerary

Day 1: The first day will be driving to Tuolumne Meadows. After we arrive we will be visiting some local spots such as Tenaya Lake, Olmsted Point, and Lukens Lake. After you’re traveling you will be having dinner under the stars and catching a rangers program.

Day 2: Breakfast is going to be at 7:30am. After Breakfast we will be taking a hike to Cathedral Lake and Peak. After we have hiked and had lunch we will be driving to Tuolumne Grove to see the big Sequoia Trees. After the long day of hiking we will be enjoying a talk about the stars from the Tuolumne Rangers.

Day 3: We will wake up bright and early to enjoy a delicious breakfast before our days adventure. We will explore more of Yosemite Tuolumne Meadows and do a hike to Glen Aulin. During our hike we will enjoy lunch at some point along the trail or at the peak! At the end of the hike, we will head back to the meadows and stop at some veiw points for some awesome photos. At the end of the day we will enjoy dinner under the stars.

Day 4:  Our last day at Tuolumne Meadows will end with a hike to Soda Springs and some beautiful views of the local forts around the campsite. We will enjoy our lunch somepoint during our exploration. Then it will be time for us to head back to CSUSB. We will stop for dinner on our way home.

How to Register

San Bernardino Campus:

Registration for trips and programs takes place in person at the CSUSB Student Recreation and Wellness Center membership desk during regular operating hours. Full payment (cash, check, Visa or MasterCard) is due at time of reservation. For more information give us a call at 537-CAMP. Some programs do not require registration, are open to nonmembers and youth. See program description for details.

Palm Desert Campus:

Registration for trips and programs takes place in person at the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus Administrative Offices (RG203) during regular operating hours. Call 909-537-2348 for the campus phone outside RG203 to check availability and to complete registration information. After completing registration you will make full payment by cash, check or debit card (no credit cards) to the Administrative Office. Some programs do not require registration, are open to nonmembers and youth. See program description for details.
